I really thought If I kept my head down, completely set up the house the way we wanted (Read actually put things on wall in places we'd enjoy them for years, let the girls decorate their rooms just as they wanted), fell in love with the schools and the neighbors and add a dog to the family then maybe, just maybe the Air Force Gods would smile on us and let us stay here at least one more year - giving us a whopping two years at this duty station.
Can you see this one cooming? Air Force assignment gods are assholes and we will be loading up and moving out as soon as the girls' school year is over. Even worse, we are headed to the one place we didn't want to go - Washington, DC. The only glimmer of hope in this is that we thought if we headed back to DC it would be becuase dh was going back to the Pentagon - not his happy place, but that is not were he is going. We never even imagined he was be considered for, much less would actually become the 89th MXG at Andrews AFB, MD. From the time they could talk, the girls have always pointed out "daddy's airplanes" (cause whe the pilots break them the maintainers own them to fix them ;) ) They are especially thrilled to be pointing out that the not-so-standard gray aircraft color, but rather a nice blue and while color scheme adourns what will soon become daddy's new planes. I think they are more excited than mom and day.
